Passport
First thing first, do you have a Passport to travel abroad? Make sure you have your passport with you and that it is not expiring anytime soon. If in case it is due for renewal, you may start the process of renewing it in advance. This is an official work and involves lots of process, so make sure you do it in advance. This applies for any other family member or any one traveling with you.

Visa and Permits
Second important document that you need to have is VISA or other required permits to travel to that country. I am sure most of us know about this, but I thought to mention this as well.

Vaccination Policy
There are a few countries where they want all foreign travelers to have certain vaccines. This vaccination process differs from country to country and it may apply for a certain period of time. So do check the vaccination policy of the country that you are traveling to.

Different countries may have different rule and restrict carrying certain things and you must be aware of any such rule. You may consult the consulate of that country or do some research on google to find what applies for your international destination.

Pets and Cars Moving
Do check with the consulate office if they allow you to carry your pet. If they allow then is there any vaccination require for the pet. Also check if you can carry your own car and if it is allowed, you may hire international packing and moving company to help you shift your car.

Taxes and Currency
You must know how much money you can carry and in what currency. Different companies have different tax policy; you must know them in advance.

Credit Cards and Bank Accounts
Check for your current credit cards and bank accounts and see if they have online transaction facilities. If not you should have one. Banks that allow you online transaction facilities will be handy for any kind of fund transfer when you need it.
